2025 marks the end of one of Helping Heart most impactful years.
Let’s take a moment to review our progress…
1. Leigh Valley Chapter
- Helping Heart Leigh Valley hosted two bake sales in partnership with Malv Mosque and Isa Mosque, respectively, raising funds for aid kits for those in need.
- Worked to make aid kits for Bethlehem Emergency Sheltering.
- Hosted a community pickleball tournament.
2. Philly Chapter
- Hosted a bake sale at Temple University, raising funds to create aid kits.
- Hosted a volunteer event at Temple University to create aid kits for those in need.
- Hosted an event at Temple University to create personal letters for patients at Saint Chris Children’s Hospital.
3. Pittsburgh Chapter
- Worked with the Harvest Street Mission to bring aid kits and clothing to individuals facing housing insecurity.
- Collaborated with the Brother’s Brother Foundation and Pittsburgh Mercy to bring medical supplies to those in need.
- Hosted a community clinic at the Islamic Center of Pittsburgh to bring free health screenings, eye exams, dental checkups, and more to the community.
- Hosted a hot dog sale fundraiser to help support health equity.
- Sponsored Suhoor meals at the Islamic Center of Pittsburgh during the month of Ramadan.
