About Us
The Helping Heart Philadelphia Chapter is devoted to improving access to healthcare and wellness education for underserved individuals and families across the city. Founded in 2022, our chapter focuses on addressing health disparities in low-income neighborhoods by providing preventive care services, essential supplies, and educational resources.
Philadelphia’s vibrant but diverse population faces significant barriers to consistent medical care — we aim to bridge that gap with compassion and community collaboration.
Featured Project: Healthy Streets Initiative
In Spring 2025, Helping Heart Philadelphia launched the Healthy Streets Initiative, a two-day event series providing free blood pressure checks, glucose screenings, and mental health resource referrals in West and North Philadelphia.
Through partnerships with local clinics and student volunteers from Temple University, we reached over 200 residents who otherwise lacked access to affordable care.
We also distributed hygiene kits, masks, and informational pamphlets on healthy living.
